Andy : 147, 104, 148, 137 | Jasiek : 147, 124

Frame 1: Andy scored the first points with a tight red to the middle and cruised to 36 points. A very poor positional shot was then played on the blue leaving only a very difficult red. Andy knocked the red in but was unfortunate to cannon into the pink and knock it into the middle pocket.

Jasiek then made it to 22 points before running out of position. This gave Andy a chance for a long red which was missed and left over the yellow pocket.

Jasiek had a nice table but then missed a black off the spot.

That was the last error of the frame, Andy making the score 74-23 before Jasiek conceded.

Frame 2: Andy had a 155 chance and maintained all reds and blacks until reaching 64 when a bad split left a fine black which went in but left no easy reds. Jasiek made it to 28 points before running out of position but left the white safe. Andy made a terrible attempt at a plant, leaving the table to Jasiek. Jasiek did well to clear but needed the whole table to win the frame and unfortunately missed the final opink, levaning it over the pocket. Andy potted the pink and then a tricky black down the cushion to grab victory from the jaws of defeat, a real heartbreaker for Jasiek.

Frame 3: Andy won the opening safety battle, winning a free ball but unable to develop the reds. Andy then made a bad safety mistake allowing Jasiek a scoring chance which he made full use of with a break of 124.

Frame 4: Again, Andy potted the first red but could not open the pack. Getting to the table again, the split left no easy reds, forcing a tricky long pot, and missed. Jasiek was left with an easier long pot, which went in but unfortunately for him, screwd the white into a corner pocket. Andy had a break but ran out of position with enough reds on the table for Jasiek. Andy won the safgety batytle with a good snooker, leading Jasiek to concede at 77-4

Frame 5: Another first red failure for Andy, potting the white when trying to go round the table. In the following safty, Andy left an available long red. Jasiek smashed the piot in and scattered the reds but could not see any colours. Andy had a break of 61 on a difficult table, leaving two pairs of reds on different cusions. After some safety, Andy blocked one pair and Jasiek took a plant on and rattled it in the jaws. After potting that red and a blue, Jasiek conceded.

Frame 6: Another dramatic frame. After a long safety, Andy got the better of the safety exchange and made it to 75 points (including points earned from fouls). Jasiek cleared the remainder of the table up until the final yellow, with enough points for him to win. The yellow was in a difficult position so he played safe. He fouled again in the safety exchange and then followed up with some good fortune - knocking it out, but so close to the middle pocket jaw that it was difficult to determine if it was pottable. Andy took the chance and ended up leaving it. Jasiek followed with the green, brown and blue, but left a very awkward pink. With a fine cut, Jasiek left it in the jaws of the yellow pocket. Andy potted the pink and oversrewd down the table, leaving a blind black or a safety. The pot was taken in and rolled in safely with another dispiriting defeat for Jasiek.

Frame 7: Jasiek potted a red knocked out from a safety but then missed the colour. Andy had a reasonable table but inexplicably missed a simple red on 15 points. Jasiek then made it to 24 after running out of position. And got to 40 points but could not develop the final reds into pottable positions so there was a period of safety on the 3 reds. After a few exhancges, Jasiek took on a dangerous long pot down the cushion and it sailed in. He then cleared to the final blue (40-54) but left another difficult shot on the top cushion - and missed. Andy cleared the remaining 3 balls to claim another unlikely victory.

Frame 8: In a repeat of the pattern of previous frames, there were errors. Jasiek had a chance but potted a red and colour when splitting. Andy then got to 58 before missing a red after poor position. This time, Jasiek missed the last green, leaving Andy with enough points.

Frame 9: Much quicker, Jasiek made a safety error and Andy scored 104.

Frame 10: A safety error gave Andy a free ball, unable to convert for a 155, he still made a supermax with 148.

Frame 11: Another Jasiek mistake, Andy 137 clearance.

Frame 12: And had a free ball again. When splitting the pack on 28, both a red and the pink were potted. Jasiek scored a comfortable 95 to win the frame.

Frame 13: Jasiek potted the opening red and black but could not get position on another red. Andy got to the table and scored 83, unable to develop the last difficult red.

Frame 14: Jasiek again got the first opportunity, this time missing a red on 36. And cleared the remainder of the table for a break of 90+;

Frame 15: After restarting for fair play after Jasiek made a double click, full advantage was taken by Jasiek, getting to the table and clearing it with a 147. He almost suffered from a nother double click, leaving a horrible last yellow. He rolled it in though and cleared for the maximum.

Frame 16: Jasiek played one safety shot and it was his last of the match. Andy potted a great long red up the table and replied to Jasiek\\\'s 147 with one of his own. A great shot late in the break broke up a small cluster of reds making it possible.

Thanks for the match. Jasiek is always great to play. Good luck in 2013!
